Hello to all, I'v just had my first look of Glynwoods web site and think its realy good. Its lovely to see what my child and his class has been involved in. I have just returned from the the year 2 SAT's meeting with Mrs Damti and Mrs Yielder feeling much more relaxed about the whole thing. It was very well prepared and gave a good insight on the work the children will be doing for them. For those parents who could'nt attend there realy is nothing to worry about, the way it has been planned i realy dont think our children will realise they are being assessed and the support they will recieve throughout is far more than i realised they could have. Parents will recieve feedback on how their child has done and the work the children will be doing is nothing they have not already done or that the teacher feels they are not capeable of. To help as parents (as we all wanted to know) is nothing more than we are doing for them now with the homework tasks that are given out, a good nights rest and a good breakfast. Thank you to both Mrs yeilder and Mrs damti for their time and on going support.

Glynwwod Primary school is the best ever we have loads and loads of tornimants like Basketball tornimants, gymnastic tornimants and loads more i am in year 5 now so i have about 2 years until i leave school boo me. I would like to stay for the whole of my school years cos it's the best school ever hehe.
Our playgrounds are masave we have this advenchure playground that's got monkey barse and tyer swings i think that's the best thing on the play ground. I play on that with my 3 best friends Melissa Anna and Sarah.
There are hard work but i don't care cos even if it's hard the teachers always help you and then you get the hang of it, sometimes if you no a little you and teacher helps you, you sometimes even get it just like that.
I could talk about Glynwood all day cos it's the best ever. But i am just gonna say that but it is the best school EVER.
BEST SCHOOL EVER

Hello Mrs Ryan
I attended Glynwood back in 1962 and 1963. It was quite some time ago and my memory of the specific dates is not clear. I lived in Ambleside Gardens and initially went to Church Road Primary School but when that was closed down in the early 60's I was transferred to Glynwood which was great for me as it was much closer to home.
To give you a bit of background I was told about this website by my mother whose sister is Doreen McCartney who inturn is Tara McCartney's grandmother (it's a bit strange thinking of her as a grandmother, she's always been aunty to me). My mother saw an article in the local paper which had been sent to her by her sister.
My family moved to Australia in 1963 and have lived here ever since, but I rememeber my time at Glynwood with fondness. I had some terrific friends such as Kevin Martin, Trevor Romanous (not sure of the spelling), James Barton, Maureen Barber, and many others, but unfortunately we have lost contact in the intervening years. This loss of contact leads me to the suggestion that you might like to consider including an ex-students section in the site which might allow "old boys" like me to make contact with friends from so long ago.
I would like to say the website site is a great idea, unfortunatley I can't run the virual tours but the galleries are interesting. It would be good to see how the classrooms look now and some outside photos along with a plan would also be great. I'm sure that would bring more memories flooding back.
Once again, congratulations to the students on this initiative and it's good to see the old school going so well.
Best wishes
Colin Storey

This school is really good there is loads of sporty events that take place the the school grounds. The teachers are really nice and once you get to know them they help you in your lessons. I have been in this school since i was 3 and now at the age of 10 i have had some funny memos that i will neva forget. If i cud choose from all the schools in gateshead i wud definatly choose this one and that is the truth. Here at Glynwood you can go on a range of trips from the age of 4 to 11. A main trip you can have the chance to go to in year 6 is a place called RobinWood where you stay for 3 days and have the chance to do once in a lifetime activitys. Glynwood have won a range of events from basketball to cross country, If you see all the medals and trophys we have won you will then understand. I could proberly go on forever talking about the BEST skool in gatehshead but my hands are already hurting me so in future try to visit our school and have a look around if not watch the tour onthe homepage. BuhBye x..HazzyHaych..x
p.s dont forget that Glynwood is the BEST skool in gateshead and that is the TRUTH Bye..x

This website is absolutely brilliant. Well done to everyone that has been part of it. I especially like the drawing of Mr. O, ha, ha!!!
I have been a pupil at Glynwood since Nursery and all of my teachers have been great. I am now in Mrs Walker's class and she is fantastic.
I really enjoyed our World War II topic last year - I learnt so much from it.
I go to three after school clubs - singing, dancing and drama. They are all really good fun and I love all of them.
