Foundation Stage learn all about Traditional Tales

During January and February the children in Nursery and Reception have been hearing lots of traditional tales and doing lots of work around them.
Read on to find out more about what they have been doing.

Children listened to a story each week. We did Jack and the Beanstalk, the gingerbread man, 3 Billy Goats Gruff and Red Riding Hood. We then did lots of fun activities connected to the story. Children grew their own beans, measured beanstalks and put them into order, wrote ingredient lists, made gingerbread men, told stories to each other, put the muddled up stories into the correct order using the pictures. did some adding and subtracting work with one more goat going across the bridge, made clay trolls and painted them, amongst lots of other fun activities. We had a fun half term.
