Congratulations to those pupils who worked with Mrs Walker & took part in her PSHE Award.
This was another large project that ran throughout the course of last year, and will continue to do so this year. Year 5/6 children had to complete 4 areas, each over a period of weeks. These involved a physical activity, a skill, a service and then 2 orienteering challenges with Mrs Walker. This was a very tough award to achieve & required a lot of dedication & committment from all those who took part.
This award was then put forward as a large school project for Gateshead children's rights award, called the Impetus Award, as it fulfilled all the necessary requirements and linked closely to the Children's Act, article number 28.
