New School Improvement Plan
The Targets in our new plan are:
• To review and update the school vision and strategic plan.
• To ensure children are given a varied diet of activities in Literacy and Numeracy.
• To improve writing across the school – children to have two extended writing sessions each week.
• To ensure that there is a focus on investigations in Science.
• To make Individual Education Plans fit with our tracking system.
• To target some children for precision teaching.
• To use coaching as an effective form of training for staff.
• To ensure we cover appropriate skills across the creative curriculum.
• To give staff training in music and phonics.
• To develop the Key Stage 1 outdoor area.
• To develop whole class instrument lessons in music.
• To develop talking tables in Early Years.
• To update staff ICT skills and review the ICT curriculum.
• To achieve the Anti Bullying Award.
• Develop new PSHEE/C assessments.
• To roll out peer massage.
• School Council to introduce ideas boxes and introduce ideas from pupil questionnaires.
• To plan parent/carers workshops and activities.
